SPCA of Northern Nevada Volunteer Program

We Are So Happy That You Are Interested in Volunteering at the SPCA!

SPCA of Northern Nevada volunteers donate their time, compassion and hearts to make every day special for the animals waiting for their forever homes. Volunteers are the backbone of the SPCA and help fulfill our mission within the shelter, thrift store, and in the community.

The decision to volunteer should be made with the understanding of the commitment and requirements it demands. All volunteers must be 18 year of age or older. If you are between 12–17 years of age, you may volunteer with a parent or legal guardian who is also a volunteer.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please come to the shelter and fill out an application or you can register online (see form below) and you will be contacted with more information.
