Come Check Out the Barking Big Bargains at the SPCA Thrift Stores
We operate Reno's only Thrift Stores whose proceeds support animals in need! The stores carry furniture, household goods, clothing, artwork, jewelry and much more. By shopping with us, you can help more animals find their forever homes. We accept donations of used items suitable for re-sale in the thrift stores. We do pick up heavy items so please check with our Thrift Stores (775) 324-7776. We also accept donations of large items such as working vehicles, boats, trucks, cans etc. All donations are tax deductible.

Items We Can No Longer Accept
As we continue to revamp and improve the shopping experience at the SPCA of Northern Nevada Thrift Stores, we are evaluating the merchandize we take in and the salability of the items. Unfortunately, during our reorganization we ran across a lot of items that have been sitting in the thrift stores for months and were taking up valuable space. When we have items that we cannot sell it is costly for us to dispose of those items. The money spent on disposal takes away valuable revenue that we use to care for the animals.
As a result we have certain items that we can no longer accept. We apologize for any inconvenience. Along with the items listed below we have also listed some companies or organizations that will take certain merchandise. Items we can no longer accept include:
- Large or small copiers
- Ski’s and ski poles
- Encyclopedias
- Treadmills and large exercise equipment
- Car seats
- Strollers
- Playpens
- Older sewing machines (unless it is an antique)
- Typewriters
- Large microwaves
- Golf clubs
- Mattresses or box springs
